What is Automation?

Home automation is the creation of a centralized system which not only can control virtually the entire home or business through a single interface, but can also be programmed to carry out routine functions automatically on a regular basis. Home automation systems build off the foundation of a security system, but add many more benefits such as the centralized control of security locks on doors and gates, appliances, windows, lighting, surveillance cameras, HVAC systems, and much more.
